Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Whiskey Thief Journal app. By using the app you agree to these Terms. They supplement, and do not replace, the terms of the app store you downloaded from — Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement on iOS, or Google Play’s Terms of Service on Android — which also apply to your use of the app.
Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Whiskey Thief on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and the terms of your app store (the App Store Terms of Service, or Google Play’s Terms of Service).
Whiskey Thief Pro subscription
Pro features are offered as an auto-renewable subscription. The price is shown in the app before you purchase and is charged to your App Store or Google Play account at confirmation. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings; deleting the app does not cancel it. Any unused portion of a free trial, if offered, is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
AI-generated content
Tasting notes, label identifications, palate analysis, pairings, and valuations are generated by AI and provided for information and entertainment only. They may be incomplete or inaccurate. Estimated values are rough guides, not appraisals or financial advice — do not rely on them for buying, selling, or insurance decisions.
Responsible use
Whiskey Thief is for adults of legal drinking age. Please enjoy whiskey responsibly and in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app: do not attempt to disrupt or abuse the services it relies on, circumvent subscription controls, or reverse-engineer the app except to the extent the law permits.
Your data and backups
Your collection is stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your own backups using the in-app export tools. We are not responsible for data lost through device failure, deletion, or reinstalling the app.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
